Born in Fukuoka, a coastal city on the island of Kyushu in Japan, Mioko brings a calm, listening-led approach to design – one that lets clients shape their own ideas while she guides the balance and the technical detail. She has worked in Tokyo and New York, though most of her career was spent at London’s leading kitchen design studios before founding Kitchen Bee in 2017.Clients consistently credit her patience and meticulous eye for spaces that feel both considered and personal. She now lives in leafy West London with her husband and daughter, and spends her weekends visiting art exhibitions.

Mioko holds a BA in Interior & Spatial Design from Chelsea College of Art & Design, part of University of the Arts London.

Lucy began her kitchen design career as a Saturday girl while studying Interior Design at the University of Salford, near her hometown of Manchester. After working her way up through the ranks, she moved to London for a change of direction, fell for contemporary Italian kitchens, and went on to work at some of the city’s leading showrooms, branching out into bathroom and interior design along the way. A self-confessed Modernist, her personal style mixes contemporary fitted furniture and fine detailing with retro pieces and design classics.

Tony began his career in the kitchen industry forty-four years ago, and over that time has owned and managed two kitchen showrooms. He has worked both in kitchen production and in fitting kitchens on site. His experience and extensive technical knowledge of European and bespoke kitchens are invaluable in keeping projects at Kitchen Bee running seamlessly. And every Sunday, without exception, he is in his kitchen cooking a roast for the family.

Born in Northern Ireland, Mark left school at sixteen and spent three years learning the foundations of carpentry and joinery in the small town of Enniskillen. Once qualified, he worked as production manager for a busy kitchen retailer before moving to London to fit high-end bespoke and European kitchens. He has also travelled internationally to fit kitchens, in destinations including India and the south of France. Twenty eight years on, he brings the same attention to detail and craftsmanship to every installation. Mark enjoys paddleboarding on the Thames on sunny weekends.

Trained as a car mechanic in Lithuania, Nerus moved to the UK and worked his way up from building work to high-end kitchen installation. His background in mechanics brings a meticulous, precise approach, and he has honed his kitchen-fitting skills over more than twenty years on site, starting out as an apprentice. Clients very often comment on his focus and accuracy, which show in the quality of the finished installation. Outside work, he is keen on learning about theoretical physics.

Ilie’s experience spans over twenty-five years in construction. Backed by a team of skilled tradespeople, he is committed to delivering the highest-quality work on every project and to giving clients the best possible experience along the way. He enjoys cooking for his family at weekends and is also keen on fishing.
